Ramadan

Here are some things about Ramadan in Islam.

Read the hadith Sahih al-Bukhari 3397, we can see this on Mishkat al-Masabih 2067, Sahih al-Bukhari 1892

Now let's see another hadith Sahih al-Bukhari 4504, you can also see this in Sahih al-Bukhari 1892, 

See that, only after this incident the ayah regarding Ramadan (Surah al-Baqara 2:185) is revealed.

Also, one should note that fasting on Ashura become optional and not the Ramadan, and Fasting in Ramadan is compulsory. Read this Sahih al-Bukhari 3831

Fasting during Ramadan is compulsory and can be seen in Sahih Muslim 1145a, the abrogated verse is  mentioned in 2:184 and the verse that abrogates it is 2:183.

Now look at the Quran ayah 2:183-184

Now we will see the Quran ayah 2:185 this is the ayah which was revealed after Muhammad gets to know that Jews fasts on that day.

Note that Surah al-Baqara is the first Medinan surah. Till then Muhammad used to fast in the pre-islamic pagans manner as mentioned in the hadith Sahih al-Bukhari 4504 which we have discussed above.

Now let's see how during Ramadan eating and having sexual intercourse become halal at night and not at day time. Read Sahih hadith Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2968

So during daytime, it is haram and during night it is halal. We understand that eating food till light falls was allowed because of this situation, but for what situation Allah allow sexual realtions on the nights of fasting in Quran 2:187,

Let's read a hadith on Jami` at-Tirmidhi 729

Ohh, it was Muhammad's need. Note that Aisha is saying Muhammad had the MOST CONTROL amoung Muslims. One may ask how did Aisha know it? 🤣 You may have also heard about Adult Breast Feeding in Islam and Aisha used to encourage it.

Now we will see the control of Muhammad in another hadith Sahih Muslim 1403a

Wow, what a control! 😆 I wonder what was the control of adults those were breast feeded.

You may notice that most of the practices of pagans like shaving the head and sacrificing sheep (Sunan Abi Dawud 2843), it can be seen in Quran Surah al-Baqara 2:196

circumambulation of kabha while naked (Sahih Muslim 3028),

and safa and Marwa to worship al-Manat (Sahih al-Bukhari 4495);

 all such pagan worships are still practised by Muslims with little modifications here and there.
