We can see this in a long hadith where the translation is white washed to save the face of Islam.

These are some abusive words used by Muhammad and his companions.
Before we see more about these, let's read a verse in Bible taught by Jesus in Luke 6:28
From the beginning of the revelation of Quran, Islam start with cursing. When you check the revelation order of Quran, you find that Surah 111 al-Masad revealed in the starting period. You can also see this in Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah - page 161
We can clearly see that Muhammad clearly publish his religion of Islam by insulting other Gods and the people who worship them and their fathers.
Read Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah - page 118 to 119 you will find that the polytheists don't go against Muhammad at all first. Muhammad is the one who started cursing at them.
When we look into the life of Muhammad, we can understand that Muhammad curses Muslims who follow him in his every words.
One of those situation can be seen in Sahih Muslim 2603 where Muhammad cursing an Orphan Muslim girl.
Notice the excuse he made for cursing. Muhammad admits that he loses temper many times in his life and used to curse his followers.
This can be seen in multiple hadiths Sahih Muslim 2601e
Another hadith in Sahih Muslim 2600a
Even in Muhammad's Death Bed, he cursed Jews and Christians. His last words in this world was cursing. Sahih al-Bukhari 3453, 3454
